AEROSMITH: 'ANGEL' [RETRO-RESEÑA]

Balada rockera mayúscula y segundo single de Permanent Vacation, álbum de 1987 de Aerosmith. Escrita por el vocalista Steven Tyler y el compositor, productor y músico Desmond Child, la canción alcanzó el tercer puesto de la lista estadounidense The Billboard Hot 100.

Buenos riffs de guitarra a cargo de Joe Perry y Brad Whitford, pianos, efectos de violines y cómo no, la batería de Joey Kramer y el bajo de Tom Hamilton. Todo ello suena mientras Steven Tyler se dedica a dar color a la letra con su inconfundible voz y culminar así una atmósfera que rebosa romanticismo. 

Por cierto, el propio Steven Tyler reconoció en una entrevista que, a pesar de estar enamorado de la canción, la escuchó tantas veces que al final acabó aborreciéndola. De hecho, desde entonces el tema se ha colado en el repertorio del grupo en vivo en contadísimas ocasiones.
