ALICE COOPER: 'POISON' [RETRO-RESEÑA]

 

Poison es uno de los temas por los que Vincent Damon Furnier, en otras palabras, Alice Cooper, será recordado a lo largo de los años, uno de esos llamados “clásicos”. Tras su lanzamiento en 1989 como single del álbum Trash —Bed of Nails, House of Fire y Only My Hear Talkin' fueron sus otros sencillos—, la canción alcanzó puestos de prestigio en los ránquines de medio mundo, como el séptimo en Estados Unidos o el segundo en Reino Unido.

La temática de Poison es bastante recurrente. Así nos encontramos con el amor de una mujer fatal, pero tan fatal que los sentimientos se tornan veneno y he aquí el porqué del nombre. En cuanto al correspondiente videoclip, hay que señalar que presenta la misma estética lúgubre "made in  Alice Cooper", con aparición estelar de la modelo Rana Kennedy incluida y, además, polémica; existe una versión censurada...
